Travis Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion, podcaster, entrepreneur and celebrity, has become the global ambassador and creative director of Tommy Hilfiger Corp.
Known for his bold personal style, Kelce will participate in a series of ad campaigns and design collaborations with the Hilfiger brand.
The collaboration kicks off this fall with an ad campaign that shows Kelce walking into Hilfiger’s New York – a place of luxury, elegance and where the confluence of surprises isn’t just one place. The campaign, which will begin in late August/September, will be shot over two and a half days at the end of April at an undisclosed location in New York. It will also have a mixed team of men and women. The story will continue in the 2027 campaign, along with a design collaboration that reimagines Tommy’s high-end images.
“Travis Kelce is one of the greatest figures in sports and culture today,” said the 36-year-old Hilfiger of the Kansas City Chiefs. “He’s at the forefront of a new generation of stylish, understated athletes that people instantly connect with. I’m excited to see how he brings his fearless, passionate and bold vision of Prep Made Current to fans around the world.”
Stefan Larsson, chief executive officer of PVH Corp., Hilfiger’s parent company, said, “Tommy Hilfiger taps into the world of sports and culture in ways that are authentic, relevant and inspiring. Travis Kelce represents a new generation of athletes who enhance culture beyond the field, which makes him a great partner for this brand.
Hilfiger has projected global retail sales, including licensees, to reach $9 billion by 2024.
In fact, Kelce walks a tightrope between the field, screen and style. A pioneer of tunneling, the arrivals of his playing days turn every door into a showcase for his powerful vision. Kelce’s sense of humor and natural stage presence have made him a headliner with an impact that goes beyond the stadium. From hosting “Saturday Night Live” to co-creating “New Heights,” a podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, which is Spotify’s first sports podcast of 2025, his reach continues to grow.
And it doesn’t hurt that he’s engaged to Taylor Swift, one of pop culture’s most influential and top-selling singers and one of the best-selling musicians of all time.
“I’ve long admired Tommy Hilfiger as a quintessentially American brand,” Kelce said. “Ever since the 10th grade, when I’d beg my mom to buy Sailing Gear jackets, I’ve been drawn to the confidence of the brand’s red, white and blue DNA.
In an interview last week, Hilfiger said, “As you know, we have had many ambassadors over the years, from Rafael Nadal to Gigi Hadid, Lewis Hamilton and recently Damson Idris from the movie ‘F1″. We think Travis is a true American icon. sports and pop culture.”
According to Hilfiger, Kelce represents a new generation of athletes who use the style to express themselves. “And I’m excited to see how she brings a strong and bold effort with our modern makeup. Because that’s what she wears. She wears preppy with a twist. She loves color and she’s not afraid to wear it. She’s in the zeitgeist.”
Kelce will be wearing Hilfiger apparel as he walks the tunnel for 2026 and 2027.
The legend will be the theme of Hilfiger’s advertising campaign in the fall of 2026. “We invite him to our world of ordinary life like Patrick Schwarzenegger and Lionel Richie in the advertising campaign of the year. This time, Travis enters the New York area through my lens, where he will have unexpected meetings with many different and interesting people and surprising appearances,” said Hilfiger.
Hilfiger declined to comment on Kelce’s planned wedding to Swift, the date of which was not disclosed.
Hilfiger said they will draft Kelce in a modern way. “And you know he has a natural sense of style. He knows what looks good on him. He likes to feel himself. His tunnel tours are a signature,” said Hilfiger.
The collection will range from XS to XXL.
When asked what he thought of Kelce’s demographic, Hilfiger said, “Of course, male sports fans, but female fans who want to buy for their boyfriends, husbands and loved ones. Because women buy a lot of men’s clothing for their husbands, their boyfriends and their loved ones.”
As they began working on the capsule, Hilfiger said, “He’s full of magic. He brings energy. He has a lot of ideas. He has a great vision, and that translates to his taste and his lifestyle in our images.”
Hilfiger said they started the archive and visited Kelce last week “so we really connected with the legacy product. He loved what he grew up wearing and now he wants to collaborate and improve it, and make it more relevant for today.”
He said Kelce is working with Hilfiger’s creative team to have a shared vision. “I would say that some of the product comes from his love of color, but combined with Tommy’s images. But it will always come back to reality, and he wants to make pieces that he will wear,” said Hilfiger. The capsule will be mainly sportswear with special clothing. It’s only for one season.
Kelce said, “There’s something special about a brand that’s been around since Tommy Hilfiger and has been changing the game. They always had a way of keeping their toes in pop culture and art and fashion, so I wanted to be a part of that. I’ve incorporated Tommy Hilfiger into my wardrobe since I was in high school, and I’m going to love you. We met Tommy, we connected through our shared belief of just having fun with it and the endless creativity of self-expression and personal style.
Hilfiger said they will have a lot planned to introduce Kelce next year. Hilfiger said: “She has a great personality. Her energy and vision is centered around her love of fashion.
The designer said this collaboration is in line with his FAMES [Hilfiger’s blueprint for style and inspiration blending fashion, art, music, entertainment and sports] policy. “This is ‘S’ for sports.” For a sports star, it doesn’t get much better than this,” he said.
When asked if that was from his perspective or Kelce’s, Hilfiger said, “I think both. He’s been Tommy’s friend for a long time. So I think it was really good for both of them. I think when it’s a win for both, it usually works,” he said. When asked if Kelce will be on the Hilfiger runway in September, he said, “It’s up to you.”
Hilfiger said the line will be a tight capsule. “It really translates his taste and lifestyle into our images. He’s not a traditional designer. He obviously brings energy, ideas, vision and a new perspective,” he said. Hilfiger said they haven’t started the design process yet, “but we have a lot of ideas. We have more ideas than we can put into the collection.
When asked if he is a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Hilfiger said, “I love it [Patrick] Mahomes and Kelce and their entire playbook. I would like to see them win the Super Bowl next year. That would be great fun. “As a native New Yorker, Hilfiger hails from the Giants and Jets. “I love the Giants. [Owner] Bob Kraft is a very good friend, and I think they did a wonderful job.
Over the years Hilfiger has worked with football stars such as Michael Strahan and Phil Simms. We’ve dressed a lot of athletes, but we’ve never collaborated with an athlete other than Rafael Nadal and Lewis Hamilton. They actually partnered with Hamilton for five years in a row. “And it was very successful because Lewis was really involved. He loves fashion and he became the ambassador of the machine,” said the designer.
Commenting on the difficulty of signing an athlete like Kelce, Hilfiger said, “You know when you’re dealing with these figures, it’s never easy. Because they have agents, they have managers, they have other people giving them deals. We look at it as facts.”
In 2023, Kelce made headlines by hosting “Saturday Night Live,” winning Super Bowl LVII, and launching Kelce Jam, his music festival. His popularity increased when Swift went to the game Chiefs vs. Bears after his invitation. Since then, Swift’s style of play has changed — and so has Kelce’s style. Last August, Kelce revealed that he was partnering with American Eagle Outfitters on a special limited-edition collaboration between the retailer and the Tru Kolors sports and lifestyle brand. Named AE x Tru Colors by Travis Kelce, the collection combined fashion, sports and culture. The collection had two drops last year: Aug. 27 and Sept. 24.
As reported last October, Kelce has been choosing tailored pieces as part of his tunnel wardrobe. On September 20, he arrived at the game in New Jersey wearing a custom Tom Ford suit, carrying Louis Vuitton bags. On Sept. 14, he wore a custom Thom Browne suit before a game in Kansas City. For his team’s game in São Paulo on Sept. 5, wore a hand-embroidered suit by KidSuper and carried Bottega Veneta bags. In Oct. 6, Kelce arrived at EverBank Stadium before the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars wearing a brown Tom Ford suede field jacket, paired with a silk shirt underneath J. Logan Home, a brand he has worn many times before.
