I’m a sleep deprived mom, but this sleeping pill helps me relax and sleep a lot.

Restless nights, let them go.

If you had told me two years ago that I would be concerned about deep sleep statistics and debating whether I had the energy to do my bedtime skincare routine, I probably wouldn’t have believed you, but here we are. Before I had my son, I was the kind of person who got eight hours a night at least. A big sleep party. Love things. It can’t be enough.

As a new mom, the past 18 months have been… a lot. Waking up before 6am (I didn’t know there was another four in the day), sleepless nights and rarely getting four hours of sleep in a row has been a challenge, to say the least. But even when my baby sleeps, my brain usually doesn’t. I sat in a daze by the time I climbed into bed exhausted, spending 30 minutes alone with my mind racing – mentally checking off to-do lists, role-playing job interviews, or planning weekend activities. And when I finally drifted off, the quality of sleep was amazing. My Oura ring has been calling me sleepless and restless for months, and I feel completely exhausted.

So, when I came across the JSHealth Beauty Sleep Duo, I had equal parts hope and skepticism. I’ve never tried a magnesium supplement before but I’ve read a long time about its benefits, so I was eager to try it, and I splurged for an eye cream that promised to do it for me. look as if I rested at night, although I did not sleep.

What is JSHalth Beauty Sleep Duo?

The JSHealth Beauty Sleep Duo is actually a two-step, inner way to look (and feel) more rested: a night supplement designed to support deep, restorative sleep, combined with an eye treatment to help you look better the next morning.

What makes it interesting is that it’s not about knocking you out at night – because who wants to feel groggy the next day? Instead, it targets the many pathways involved in sleep, such as calming the mind and relaxing the body, while the eye serum works on the visible side of things like puffiness, fine lines, hydration and dark circles.

The supplement side of the duo is built around a blend of nutritionally balanced herbs and minerals that support relaxation, nervous system health and sleep quality.

Here’s what weightlifting does:

• Passionflower – Traditionally used to calm the mind and calm the nervous system, to help ease ‘sleepy’ feelings and support restful sleep.

• Ashwagandha – An adaptogenic herb often used to support stress management. It helps the body to wind down and recover from stress, which is important if your brain doesn’t turn off at night.

• Magnesium (a combination of three types) – Great for relaxing the body. It supports muscle relaxation and nervous system function and can help reduce tension (hello, jaw clenching).

• Chamomile – An ancient calming botanical that helps promote relaxation and a sense of well-being before bed.

• Saffron ointment – Often associated with emotional support, it can help promote a balanced, relaxed state, which is especially helpful if stress or low mood affects sleep.

• Glycine (amino acid) – Promotes relaxation and can help lower body temperature slightly, which is associated with easier sleep.

On the skin care side, the eye serum focuses on brightening, plumping and hydrating the delicate under-eye area using a combination of peptides, vitamins and botanicals.

Key points include:

• Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 (Eyeseryl® peptide) – A targeted peptide known to help reduce puffiness and bags under the eyes by improving water retention in the area.

• Caffeine – Helps to constrict blood vessels, which can reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness (especially good after sleep).

• Niacinamide (vitamin B3) – Brightens the under-eye area and improves complexion while strengthening the skin’s barrier.

• Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) – Deeply hydrating and soothing, it helps the skin feel soft and supple.

• Vitamin E – Antioxidant that protects the damaged eye area from environmental stress and supports skin repair.

• Hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) – Draws moisture to hydrate and fine lines temporarily.

• Botanical extracts (such as astragalus and paracress) – Support skin firmness and elasticity, contributing to that smoother, more lifted appearance.

• Light-reflecting minerals (such as mica and titanium dioxide) – These provide a subtle brightening effect, helping to instantly brighten dark spots.

I’ve been taking Dream Night+ Powder regularly for about a month now, and I’m really surprised at how much of a difference it’s made. The biggest change? Sleep delay. Now there are nights I fall asleep in 12 minutes. Twelve! My Oura ring also supports it, which makes it feel less like a placebo and more like a real change. I also see deep sleep in general, which, as every tired parent knows, is the holy grail, and good sleep, which means tossing and turning all night long.

But it’s not just data. Physically, I feel different. My body seems to relax more easily at night, and I’ve noticed that I no longer clench my jaw at all – a habit that gives me a headache early in the morning.

What’s also interesting is how clear it is when I don’t take it. If I’m gone on the weekend and forgot to bring it, I can tell right away. I can’t rest, it takes me a long time to fall asleep, and I wake up feeling weak. That difference was probably the biggest testament to me.

In taste, it is really delicious. It’s sweet without being overpowering and very easy to drink. That said, it does require a little care when putting it together. You can’t just shake it up and forget about it – you’ll need to stir it as you go to make sure everything is well dissolved.

The only thing I struggle with is the routine part. I know a lot of people like the idea of a quiet evening drink, as this product is designed to be, but that’s not how I naturally feel. Many times, I got into bed, grabbed my book, relaxed, and realized I forgot to drink it. I’m not going to drag myself back downstairs – I’m not right.

Maybe I need to make a bigger effort to make it a part of my sleep routine, or maybe a capsule form (like JSHealth PM+) might be right for you. If you’re a traditionalist, you’ll love this – but if you’re like me and just want something quick and silly, it’s something to consider.

The second half of the duo – Illuminating Peptide Eye Serum – has been a great addition to my morning routine. First of all, the metal tool deserves a mention. It’s cooling, soothing, and instantly makes me feel more alert, especially on those sleepy mornings.

Visually, it gives the under-eye area a subtle glow, helping to naturally lighten dark circles. It’s not fancy or over-the-top, just enough to make you look more alive than you feel.

Hydration-wise, it’s pretty good. My under-eye area feels plump, smooth, and well-moisturized after using it. It also glides beautifully under make-up. In fact, I usually skip concealer altogether when I use it, which is saying something.

In terms of fine lines, I haven’t seen a big difference yet, but it’s still early days (a few weeks). Because of how well it works in other areas, I am hopeful that the results will increase over time.

My verdict

The Beauty Sleep Duo feels like it was made for someone exactly like me: tired, busy, and looking for real ways to feel human again. The Dream Night + Powder was the highlight. Sleeping better, falling asleep faster, and a more rested body at night? That’s a huge win in my book.

However, the eye serum is a small but powerful improvement to the morning, it helps me look refreshed, even if I don’t feel it.

It may just be a coincidence, but a few people have commented on how bright my skin looks and my general demeanor, which I have to put down to starting these two products. The more restless nights I have, the longer I can sleep, the better I can make the most of it.

My mood is better, I’m more resilient, and ultimately, I’m a better parent because of it. I may not be getting eight hours every night anymore, but I’m finally starting to feel like I am me again, something you can’t put a price on. I am a convert – and my only regret is that I didn’t get this product sooner.
